: If you are having trouble getting a pilot also, the pulp or kaowool seal is bad around the burner. This seal will allow excess air to the firetube. The front door needs to be opened to replace the seal. Boiler mud was used a few years ago, CB now uses a strip of kaowool to seal this area.
