: : I recently had a steam coil that was melted. I am loking into the cause. Accourding to the operator, the Thermostat switch worked & at the start up, the coil had water in it. The steam temperature or pressure never reached set points (100 psig or 338oF) before the big melt down. Any ideas?

: : Thanks in advance - Kurt

: ::I assume that you have checked your flow switch and that the thermostat you are referring to is the coil overtemp switch? It melted due to lack of water flow and it never reached steam pressure or temp because there wasnt any water is what it sounds like.
