We have a number of large inverted bucket traps that see very cyclic loads. I've used temperature indicating crayons (melt at a certain T) before to spot check always active traps...I'd like to use them here by marking the trap outlet and having an operator look for the mark to have melted on rounds.
Because of the process we will know if it fails closed.
