I have an HB Smith BB13 *3 steam boiler/hot water heater combination. It's developed a problem of having too much water, filling up the system into the radiators, even though I haven't added water to it. Occasionally I have had to add water -- about once every week or two -- to keep the level in the glass from dropping too low, but two days ago the system suddenly seemed filled, and I had to empty buckets of water to bring it down to the normal level. It was good for a day, then tonight it overfilled itself again. I don't think the feed valve gasket is bad - it's only a couple of years old and I don't hear any water passing through it. Can you think of any other possible cause? Thanks!
