: : :
: : : the burner housing on or cb 500 hp boiler is leaking gas around the burner we have had the same trouble on or 700 hp .cb says that the gas pressure is so low it is not necessary for this arer to be sealed . Like so input

: : No gas should ever leak from around the burner housing if the burner is set up correctly with the designed backpressure on the burner at maximum firing rate.

:
: Are you sure it's a gas leak or is it just combustion air? On a CB like yours the gas is well contained until the combustion chamber.

Yes its the burner housing that the gas spuds come out of the welds on the housing on three of or boilers that we have tested at 1/2psi leaks at 10 to 17 spots due to bad welding of the housing
