In short this all depends on your city water quality and the amount of makeup water added on a baseline setting, ie: cycle, hourly, daily, etc:.
If your water quality is hard you can assume that the life is decreased enormously.
If the unit is blowndown regularly and cleaned bi-yearly you can increase this time though.
