The other important part of the unique Ohio Special regulations is the number of boilers at the 358 sq ft heating surface restriction does not factor in to the requirement for operators. For example a single 800 HP installation would require operators however four 200 HP Ohio Specials does not even though both scenarios generate a total of 800 HP of steam.
