We'll need some additional information first such as total required steam rate, operating pressure, anticipate load swings, type of facility the boilers are to be installed in, etc.....

Also provide information on existing boilers if installed including auxiliary equipment. This may also impact the final boiler selection.

: I need to purchase three boilers in the 200 to 500 HP range firing natural gas and no. 2 oil. I am looking at wetback firetube boilers as well as steam generators such as the ones manufactured by Miura. Miura boilers seem to be less expensive compared to firetubes, but I do not know the pros and cons.

: Are Miura boilers easy to maintain? I understand they are very sensitive to water chemistry? What about life? Do they last as long as firetubes?

: I would appreciate some comparison and input from all of you Boiler Gurus out there.

: Thanks
