Use the following formula:

Daily volume in cu. ft. x heating value in fuel (usually 1,025 btu/cf for natural gas)/Enthalpy in the steam (from steam tables)/factor of evaporation

factor of evaporation = enthalpy - (feedwater temp -32)/970.3
