: : DOES ANYONE KNOW IF A RESIDENT OF ONTARIO.CA WHO HAS A 3RD CLASS TICKET,CAN WRITE A 2ND CLASS TICKET IN QUEBEC IF SO WHAT DO THEY CHARGE TO WRITE THERE,AND IS A QUEBEC 2ND CONSIDERED A 2ND CLASS IN ONTARIO?? THANKS.
: You would be advised to check out www.sopeec.org Ontario is working towards Canadian recognition of it's power engineering certification however Quebec cerification (I believe) is not recognized across Canada. Also checkout www.ipecalgary.com and follow the links to Edmonton's page as well for more info. An example is Ontario First Class is only recognized as an Alberta Second Class. You would be wise to get some cerification that is recognized across Canada before wasting your time studying for a certification only to find out later it is not recognized in other jurisdictions. That's my opinion and best of luck in your studies no matter what route you go.
You will have to write a standardized version of the tests and will most likely have to rewrite you 3rd. The standardized versions are more difficult but are recognized all across canada, including quebec. No need to get a new ticket or anything.
