I recently had to replace a 3/4" pipe on my resedential steam system. I was told that that pipe I took off was "wrought copper" I've never heard of wrought coppper before. I ended up replacing this section with schedule L copper and was told this would be fine on the system. However, whenever the oil burner kicks on, it sounds like this new pipe is expanding and contracting. Is this normal?
