My two family home (1st floor 5 rms + bath / 2nd floor 6 rms + bath) is currently being heated with an American Standard Oil Burner. The specs taken off the plate are - Steam 15 psi, water 30 psi, minimum relife valve capacity 268 lbs/hr, gross output Mbh 268, steam sq ft 838, rating water Mbh 233.0 and firing rate per hour (gallons) 2.50. The boiler is old, I supply heat to my tenant and I think my underground storage tank is taking on water. I want to convert to two gas steam boilers. Should the specs listed above be the same for the two new gas fired burners. If anyone out there knows of a few reputable contractors that work in Hudson County NJ area, names would be appreciated. Also, about how much will this cost me - $1,000, 5,000 or more??? Thanks in advance. Doreen
