Is not the bottom blow for sludge or solid laden water to exit the boiler. This is typically only caused by a percipitant chemistry in the boiler. I would not typically expect this to be used in the system described. Automatated skimmer blows are the best or based on operational design a continuous blow can be set. If there is a specific reason you wish to bottom blow please post for additional comment.
: : Why are you bottom blowing an online boiler in the 1st place? We use ours to accomodate for swell when starting the units up, and for chemistry control we utilize a continuous blowdown tapped at the normal level (surface blowdown for you BT's.) Continuous is just that, its a regulated small (about 1%) continuous flow for chemistry control.
