The Mc Donnel Miller has a globe valve for the blowdown and the valve is cracked open until the piping slowly becomes hot,and then the valve is open until you get the alarm, while pressing on the dead man switch,I dom't think it's a pressure issue,it looks like to me the air in the ball, somehow cooled, while the outside got hot, outside pressure did not colapse it,something happened from the inside, this baby is sucked in.I'am sending it to them, the rep at the plant said sometimes the floats when sealed at the plant can still have solvents inside, causing a rapid decrease in internal, air once hit with heat, this was a new float I had installed, last year, and kept the old one as a spare.I will keep you posted
