No, Cleaver Brooks door hinges are manufactured to fully support the weight of the doors. If your hinges or hinge bolts look to be in poor condition or bent then the doors need to be removed to correct/replace the defective parts. Its normal to rope the door open because the weight of the door will cause them to swing back closed. During closing its important not to over torque the doors which deforms the doors at the bolt locations. Its only sealing less than 1/2 psi pressure. Don't over torque with impact wrenches!
