Restored steam sternwheel tugboat has been operating the boiler at 240psi. The 1800 HP engine will make 14 RPM - the hull speed - with 60psi on the intake manifold. Would we save fuel by running the boiler at 150 psi? It is an all volunteer crew with a wide range of opinion. E mail me. Thanks wz
