: That's a good idea. We've checked and believe the tuning is appropriate. Have even had boiler controls experts come out and add some control technology that compensates level based on pressure. Anything or anybody else?
Read your post. You never say what kind of drum level control system you are using. An increase in steam flow will definitely not make you trip on low water level. You may have to change to a three element drum level control where steam flow and feedwater flow rates are compared keeping the drum level within acceptable limits
