: We have three 450,000 lb/hr, 600 psig steam, Babcock & Wilcox boilers. Just curious if anyone else out there is having problems with their boilers shutting down on low steam drum level due to steam demand increasing rapidly or sudden pressure spikes in steam header pressure? Main end user for the 600 psig steam is an ethylene unit. Could be control issue, drum too small, not enough resonance time in pipe, etc, but just wondering if anyone else has had issues...
: Thanks

: Considering the size of the Boiler, it definately sounds like a tuning issue on your level control valve. A boiler that big should be able to handle big swings and shrink and swell of level from steam loads.
