: : I run the boilers and kilns at our facility and the wood waste is clean, no garbage, chemicals or oils.
: : We manufacture baseboard and casing moulding so we dry the wood down to 7%.
: : Stack temp runs between 300F and 400F.
: : The firebox consists of stationary grates with overfire and underfire fans. There is an ID fan in the stack. The fans are all controlled by a computer, we just do not have good air/fuel curves.
: : We have done an ash fusion test and found the softening temp. to be 2150F in a Reducing atmosphere and 2240F in a Oxidizing atmosphere (not sure the differance)
: : Thanks for your help.

Are your fires hot? (whitish flames?) Do you burn alot of fuel in suspension? (is there Excessive carryover) Can you control the combustion air (pre-heat) temperature. Is your C02 and 02 within target ranges? Are you alowed to burn cooler (emmision regs)?
