Just finished a weeks worth of repairs on a 1957 model CB coal fire in Savannah GA. Was my first experience with tangent tubes and I found it interestig.When we opened these up some of them looked pretty bad with pitting and worm tracks etc. Most of the repairs were around the burners on 3 inch tubes. That's some tight welds I dont mind admitting.A lot of them were window welds too like behind the buckstays.Anyone who has any exp.with repairs like this kite me. I like boiler gossip.
