: Quick Question,
: My heating plant consists of A superior 508HP boiler & two bigelow 304HP boilers, my steam load is approx 8,000lbs/hr @ 98psi. My feed system is a Grundfoss pump set with a cap of 32-97 gal/min. we use a honeywell regulating valve set, and maintain back pressure with a 1-1/4" spence regulating valve. we maintain the press @ 125psi
: the Question is,
: Monday morning i receive my largest load demand. the boilers chug along fine but the feed system cant keep up therfore the boilers go out on low water.
: could my feed system be undersized? or is the key in the back pressure regulator?
