: I'm operating to 400hp Cleaverbrooks firtube boilers and the lead boiler is working just fine, but the lag keeps filling with water. Every morning I have to drian down to NOWL. I checked the make-up feed and it seems to be fine. What could be wrong what other things can I check?

Does your "lag" boiler sit idle for a long time? Does it's steam pressure drop significantly below 400 psi? We have had this problem, although our boilers operate at 65 psi steam pressure. If your pressure drops real low you might get feedwater gravitating from your condensate return tank or deaerator tank into the boiler...depending on how your system is set up. Do you think this sounds like what is happening to your boiler?
