we are a small linen/ family dry cleaning plant that needs a new boiler. currently we are running with a 200bhp water tube "d" type seattle boiler works boiler with a st johnson burner. the boiler was installed new in 1970 and it is just too big for what we need now. we burn #2 diesel because we have no natural gas where we are.
in a perfect world we have a total of 80bhp if everything was running at the same time. total running time would average out around 1400-1500 hours per year.
we are looking at standard fire tube as well as miura boilers. we are hearing both good and bad things about both but are leaning more towards the miura boiler.
if anyone out there has any thoughts, suggestions or comments please we want to hear from you.
you can email me direct at mswhitey@qwest.net or respond here on the forum. thank you in regards to this matter.
