In the USA (NA) citizens get certificates in the mail for discount purchases and get tickets for speeding and entertainment. The US stationary Engineers have boilers that stay in one place, might not provide power and are licensed to run dangerous equipment, and may also be licensed to carry firearms and drive moving vehicles. Many homeowners in both countries call a boiler a furnace.
