: Problem is carryover and low water level.
: Feed water Blow down
: pH – 9-10 pH – 10-11
: Hardness <10 TDS 8000-10000
: TDS 1800
: Soft water
: General observations when TDS in blow down goes beyond 8000 then frequency of this problem increases.
: Boiler type: Thermax make LB-15 model, year 1980,
: 06 Ton/hr, 5 Kg /cm2 steam pressure
: Please advice what should we do?

1. Blowdown lots more to decrease TDS in boiler below trouble level. Is this reading neutralized or unneutralized?
2. Ensure you are not trying to draw out more steam than you can produce. This can cause carryover, especially if you have
high TDS and/or high alkalinity.
3. Check for chlorides in boiler water. Are they in excess of what cycles of concentration say they should be? Maybe your softener
is malfunctioning and sending salt to your boiler. This can cause your problem.
4. How high is the alkalinity? Really high alkalinity can contribute to carryover.
Hope this helps.
