1. Watts is very common, probably the most widley used.

2. No problem adding water with the boiler is in operation, the make-up connection is typically connected to the return side of the boiler. This is usually done automatically through a reducing valve.

3. What is the MAWP of the boiler? If it's 30 psi, then the pressure during operation should be about 22- 25 give or take a little. It the MAWP is higher naturally the pressure will be higher.

4. If you getting a lot of sediment in the system try bottom blowing the boiler. If this is a steel boiler and you add chemicals you MUST blow down the boiler otherwise you will have huge problems.
