I am not a member of NAPE/NIULPE, but I have friends that are. There are various levels of licenses issued by NIULPE through an examination process. Although I am not aware of any states or juridictions in the northeast that require a NIULPE license, I have always thought it to be a good idea to try and get as many licenses or certificates to prove your knowledge in a particular area. Go for it. It will also help out your resume.
