: : I was in a high school boiler room recently. The operator told me his condensate tank keeps running low and as a result his boilers have shut down automatically. What would the causes be to have such a loss of make up water? Curious!!!

: : Best regards Leo!!!

: There are a lot of things that could cause this from leaking pipes, a leaking boiler, to an undersized condensate tank. If this is happening on a regular basis they should have a reputable boiler service company in the area have a look at the system and find out what the problem is. It could be an indicator of more serious problems to come.

Steve in your reply to my condensate tank question you said this could be an indicator of more serious problems to come. Could you elaborate? Thanks Leo
