: What does the average 2nd class and 3rd class stationary engineer make in the the U.S.?

In Massachusetts the License examination process is quite stringent and requires years of education and experience to pass the higher levels. Because of this the average pay for second and first class engineers is from 26 to well over 30 dollars per hour. With overtime one can expect to make 80k or more per year easily.
