: I am looking at a Babcock and Willcox boiler built and installed in a Navy Ship
: around 1970. I am wondering if it would be likely that it would have a ASME stamp.
: I am going to have to drive to the sight to look for it (the stamp) and I am just
: wondering if it is worth the 4 hour drive to investigate.

I would suspect that the boiler will have the NB stamp of the National Board rather than any ASME stamps. It is understood that when any boiler has the NB stamp that it has been constructed under all ASME Boiler Code requirements.

What might be you reason for inspecting the boiler?
