I was just told that a steam radiator valve should be fully open or fully closed otherwise it is harmful to the system. Is this true?! I have a reasonably new brass valve attached to a aluminum fin type radiator. if it is harmful partially open, how can I regulate the heat with out opening a window. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
