: We have a process firetube boiler in Mexico with some level of silica in feedwater. I understand silica can present problems if it plates out on tubes. What should we look for in the chemistry to understand how to prevent this. What is the critical boiler ppm level and how do we run surface blow to keep under control. Are there different kinds of silica?
