OK, you described your pre-treatment scheme and it sounds fine. Now you have to have in place an internal treatment program for your deaerator, boiler and condensate. Daily chemical additions, and routine water chemistry readings taken. ph, TDS or conductivity, hardness, disolved oxygen, phosphate readings, bottom blows, etc... This should all be in place.

A while back I operated 2 200 psi, 75,000 lb/hr boilers with 25% condensate return with soft water and we had NO SCALE. These boilers were 25 years old at the time. We used coordinated phosphate control, amine for condensate and sulfite for o2 and it worked great.
