Right from the boiler rules:

D. The lowest visible part of the water gage shall be at less 2 inches above the LPWL, at wich level there will be no danger of overheating.........

F. Boilers of the horizontal firetube types shall be so set that when water is at the lowest reading in the water gage glass there shall be at less 3 inches of water over the highest point of the tubes, ...


And how all of it looks in connection with M&M level
control?
