: We have water and steam both coming out of the vent on the preheater on the DA tank? any help?

: Don, I assume that you are talking about the tray section of the deaerator. It looks like a small tank bolted to the top of the storage section? If this is the case, I have had this problem. Your vent pipe inside the tray section is broken, and instead of venting out air and non-condensible gases (along with steam ) your blowing water out as well. In our DA, the vent line ran through the top of the tray section to the plate that holds the spray nozzles. Our pipe broke on the other side of this plate. Our DA is a Cochrane/Crane unit. I believe they have a fix for this problem and also for other brands as well. We had a boiler repair outfit do ours, they replaced the entire vent pipe with heavier duty material we haven't had trouble since.
