: What are outside reastats are used for what:
: a. starting and stopping modes
: b. ambulant outside air temps
: c. safety valve
: d. zone device
: What pressure point of a hot water boiler or vessel is considered dangerous?
: Thanx for your help!!
reostats are usually 135 ohm variable resistors, their sensors measure temperature or pressure and then cause the resistor to change resistance. They can be used to vary the amount of fuel going into a burner, vary the temperature leaving a boiler or vary the temperature of an air coil and many other uses. A hot water boiler has a safety relief valve setting of 30 psig. A low pressure steam heating boiler has a safety relief valve setting of 15 psig.
