: : I have a 1 pipe steam boiler system. Can I change the radiator by just turning off the boiler or will I get water out of the lines?

: Hello,
: You will most likely get water out of the lines, this should be okay just make sure when bringing it on to bleed the air. Is there any drains you can open? You might consider installing isolation valves when you remove the radiator.

You will find a little water in the bottom of the radiator, if you have the steam valve fully open . If you have the valve normally closed, then it may be quite full. Good luck and don't forget to install a new radiator valve.
