: We have a customer with a 1980's B&W watertube boiler. A group of tube holes in the mud drum all in the same general location at the back of the boiler appear to be out of round. When we installed new tubes and rolled them in, they held fine during the hydro, however in anywhere from a day to three weeks the same group of tubes started leaking. After re-rolling the tubes the problem comes right back. Does anyone have any experience with or recommendations to fix these out of round holes, has anyone ever used a copper or steel sleeve in a similar application ?

I know this sounds like a dumb response but have you checked with B&W?
