I do not know the relationship between steam pressure versus increase in moisture content.
You can try to measure the mass of the wood before and after and develop the relationship.
I have no experience with an autoclave. Steam is supposed to be "dry" meaning there should be no free moisture to dump into the veneer.
Is this a common practice?
