+++ No, it will shut off the burner sooner due to having less radiator volume to fill.

However, you might not be able to really shut the radiators off, depending on the valves you have, as one-pipe valves often had a "bleed" notch for water to get out, so some steam will get in the closed radiator to condense as water and cause banging. And depending on how cold the room gets, some freezing.
