Banging in a water boiler is evidence of not enough water flow through the boiler. There are several ways of stopping the problem that a competent installer can do. Weil McLain will often send a representative with the installer to solve the problem if the installer can't. It is usually the result of piping ignorance and an inability to read the excellent manuals and installation instructions of the company.

Unfortunately, the boiler association has neglected education due to the influence of a New York gang attitude that has stopped them from educating another 10,000 contractors in the past decade.
