What abt LOUD banging in a gas fired water boiler (CGa Gold) that was installed new in Sept 2004? Banging is constant. Tenants on the 2nd floor hear the noise from the basement also. The boiler was not used until October.Installer said that the system is "limed up" (already?!?!) and would need to be drained completely. That means pulling the radiators out into the yard, draining them and then replacing them. This is Chicago and that means waiting until late April. This is the 2nd Weil-McLain boiler from the same installer, previous boiler did not bang. Installer has been here multiple times, drained sediment and said they would "send it for analysis" (the jar with the sediment is still sitting on the shelf in their office).
Any suggestions?
