i am in process of converting from oil to gas... & need new boiler & hot water heater.
several plumbers have bid on the job ... each with different equipment and price ranges...some with stand alone hotwater heaters other with indirect fired... one w/ Weil McLain & SuperStore(Indirect), one w/ Burnham & Phase III(indirect) & one w/Weil McLain & Rheem (seperate)
based on the info presented in this forum it seems as though the most knowledgeable individuals are supporting indirect water heaters...
my questions:
1. Is the above statement true (indirect favored over seperate)
2. If you(knowledgeable plumber) were to install a new system in your house (2200 sq ft) what manufacturers/equipment would you use...
any help would be much appreciated... thank you in advance
