: we are operating a 30 TPH 60 bar (g) heat recovery boiler with superheated steam temperature 505 c. but currently steam turbine is not operative & only gas turbine is running. The combustion products of Gas turbine passes through HRSG and about 30 bar boiler pressure is produced. The steam produced in HRSG is being vented through start control valve ( start control valve dia is 50 mm ). My Question is what should be the minimum flow of steam to protect superheater coils.
Did it ever occur to you to consult the manufacturer of your boiler for this information?
