Specification: Three Pass Wetback Firetube Boiler - 20 HP thru 800 HP:
The steam boiler shall be ____ horsepower designed for ____ psig steam. The maximum operating pressure shall be ____ psig, minimum operating pressure ____ psig. The boiler shall have a maximum output of ____ btu/hr, ____ horsepower using: #(2/4/6) oil or ____ btu/lb natural gas. Available electric power will be : ____ volt and ____ phase ____ cycle with 115/1/60 for the boiler control circut.
The steam boiler shall be a three pass wetback horizontal firetube updraft boiler with five (5) square feet of heating surface per rated boiler horsepower. It shall incorporate a forced draft burner and burner controls either flange mounted or on a base frame. The packaged boiler shall be approved by Underwriters Laboratories and shall have affixed to it the Underwriters label. The steam boiler shall be fully assembled ready for floor or foundation mounting and connection of steam, water, electrical, fuel, vent, and blowdown lines. The packaged unit shall be fire tested at the factory.
The pressure vessel must be constructed in accordance with the ASME Boiler Code and be subject to authorized boiler inspection with a copy of the inspection report furnished to the purchaser.
Two or more eyes suitable for lifting the boiler must be located on top of the pressure vessel. Front and rear doors on the boiler shall be bolted, hinged, or davited. Front door refractory shall be contained by a welded steel liner and guaranteed by the manufacturer for a period of not less than ten (10) years. Rear doors shall have no refractory. All doors are to be sealed with fiberglass rope gaskets and fastened securely using lugs and nuts treaded onto studs welded into the vessel.
All heating surfaces must be fully accessible for inspection and cleaning without disturbing the burner equipment. The pressure vessel shall be furnished with appropriate handholes and manholes for boiler inspection or cleaning.
The exhaust gas flue connection shall contain a stack thermometer and be located on the top centerline of the boiler. Provide a rectangular tube bundle boiler economizer for additional increase in boiler efficiency.
Observation sight ports shall be located at each end of the boiler to facilitate inspection of flame conditions.
The boiler insulation and lagging must be easily removable and readily reinstalled when necessary. Insulation shall consist of a minimum 1 1/2" fiberglass blanket covering the entire circumference of the pressure vessel protected by preformed sheet metal lagging.
Painting of the boiler, base frame, and all other components shall be done prior to shipment using a hard-finish enamel.

The completed packaged boiler shall be factory tested with all accessories to check construction and operation of all components. All safety controls must be checked for proper operation. Purchaser may witness all tests at his own expense.
After the completion of the boiler installation the purchaser will be provided with the services of an authorized field service representative to start the unit and train the operator. The start-up service is not to exceed two (2) days.
Steam boilers shall have radiation and convection losses not exceeding 1 percent at full load boiler rating.
Fuel to steam efficiency shall be guaranteed to be a minimum of 80 percent from 25 percent to 100 percent of full rating.
